Property photography - Short term lets in Hull  I photographed a lovely modern-looking two-bedroom apartment in Bishop's Lane Hull.  One of  several apartments within Middleton Chambers, which dates back to 1908, when it was used as a legal office, like many of the old buildings around High Street, or "Old Town" as it is known. I used a new technique of bracketed shots with "lights on and lights off", with some Photoshop magic once back home.  It does take more time shooting and processing afterwards, to avoid that yellow light colour cast that a lot of electric lights give off, but I thought this property deserved it. It had an open-plan layout for the living room kitchen but it had the space, with enough room for a separate dining area. I have photographed a number of apartments in this beautiful historic building in the heart of Hull's Old Town, on High Street.  It has been made into several 1 or 2 bedroom apartments, available to rent as short stays - perfect for a weekend trip or longer stays.   The Old Dutch Embassy was built in 1664 and is now a Grade II listed building.  You can feel the history as you walk down the cobbled pathway to the entrance doors.   Thankfully the interior  has been updated for 21st century living, with clean lines and modern kitchens and bathrooms. The open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge in this 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious and has lots of natural light, and was a dream to photograph! It also boasts a fully-equipped kitchen  The main bedroom also had lots of space and light, with wardrobe storage and a work desk Even the smaller 2nd bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe. Being so close to the local nightlife, museums, cinemas, bars and restaurant...

Here is a lovely 2-bedroom barn conversion for rental on Airbnb in a rural village just outside of York.  I had photographed one of their properties and they called me back to do some more, as they have three properties in total here.  If you need somewhere near York but without the noise of being in York, you should check it out here

 Here's a lovely cosy holiday rental house in the nearby village of Cottingham, East Yorkshire.  I had been recommended to the owners by another property developer whose properties I had photographed a few months ago.  They had just finished the refurbishment project:  the finish was immaculate and was dressed beautifully.  Here are some of my favourites. It was good to be out  photographing a house this week.  Selling a house isn't always easy, and making a house look good in winter is even harder.  The key factor is for the vendor to put the effort into preparing the house for photographs (and viewings!).  Declutter, hide unnecessary things, and get that show-home look to make the most of the space you have.  This one had a professional clean and some feverish last-minute moving of "stuff" even as I arrived, but it was worth it.  Here are some of my favourites.
