Headshots session for Performing Arts Students - 2021

Image
A few months ago I did a big group headshot session: 38 performing arts students, each with a ten-minute slot. We all had to be on time and we had to work quickly! I've been going there for the past 4 years (when COVID allowed). Here are some more from that session. #headshots #student #performingarts #college #photographerhull #business

Georgia's 21st Birthday Party

Image
Wow!  What an evening!  Post-COVID, it was quite a sight to see so many people getting together and enjoying themselves.  The marquee was put up in the paddock at the family farm, and fabulously styled to a Studio 54 New York nightclub. I even dusted off my black tie! It's nice to be recommended when people need a photographer for such events, and this was one I loved being part of, so was glad they'd been given my number!  Drinks were dispensed by  Bishop's Bar  of Howden, and the amazing performers from  Innovation  Entertainment  kept the party going all night, with stilt-walkers, fire-eaters, aerial performers and podium dancers! If you need an  events photographer  you can get in touch and tell me your details and what you need doing.

Mike & Laura's Wedding Album

Image
I had the pleasure of photographing this couple's wedding over the summer.  It was just a small wedding, held at the Guildhall in Hull city centre, with only a couple of hours of coverage.  They went for the digital only option, thinking they would just have a few of their favourites printed to hang on the wall, but when they saw their photos they decided to add an album! I created this album for them, supplied by Graphistudio, based in Italy, who have been making wedding albums for decades and supplying wedding photographers all over the world. Mike and Laura decided on a cover that suited their colour scheme and I did the rest.  They decided to upgrade to the leather cover as well, which makes for hard-wearing protection of their precious memories which will last a lifetime!  The matt linen box completed the package.

New! The Storybook Album from Graphistudio

Image
Wow!  Something new and very different, for those wedding couples looking for a unique wedding album,  The new Storybook album from Graphistudio is a massive step away from the usual neat and trimmed and books that we use.  The Storybook is more relaxed, like nothing you've seen before, with the photos printed on raw-edged art paper and sewn into the book. As with all of their books, they can be customised and embellished, with various cover materials from faux leathers to beautifully distressed genuine leathers, and can have names, dates or whatever block printed or embossed onto the front. To complete the rustic nature, the book is presented in eco-friendly packaging. Check out more details at their website and then get in touch with me if you want to upgrade from your standard album! Wedding Album Sample for Carlton Manor East Yorkshire

Image
I was very pleased to drop in a new sample wedding album from Nphoto to Carlton Manor, near Aldbrough, East Yorkshire today. I had been there to photograph Kim and Paul's wedding only a few weeks earlier and the images got such a great response that I suggested they might want a book of them. Kim had booked me to be their wedding photographer back in 2019 and had moved their date because of COVID19 but happily I could still accommodate them. I chose the beautiful linen navy blue cover to match not only the couple's colour scheme, but also the manor's newly refurbished lounge. Such a lovely presentation box and printed text too! It will sit nicely among the books on the coffee table, and give potential couples an idea of how the place looks when they are hosting weddings. If you are looking for an wedding venue in East Yorkshire with a countryside setting , get in touch with them to see it yourself!

Alice and Louis' Wedding at St Olave's and The Principal Hotel York

Image
Remember how hot it was yesterday? Imagine being in a wedding dress, or a 3-piece suit! Or imagine someone (like me) chasing around like crazy trying to get as many great shots as possible before we all got frazzled! Bright sun throughout the day mean we spent a lot of time seeking the shade, with a few moments where we got a bit creative, playing with the sunlight. Starting at The Principal Hotel for her preparations, then a few minutes' walk across the river to St Olave's church for the ceremony. We took the car back to the hotel for the rest of the day, where we spent a lot of time seeking out the shade! It was especially lovely because I had been the photographer for several of the guests over the years (not least Louis' mum!) so there were a lot of familiar faces. It is nice to be recommended! The brief was simple - not too many formal photographs, just lots of natural, fun unposed stuff - happy to oblige! The Principal is an absolutely fabulous city centre hotel,
