East Yorkshire Property Photography

I had to share these images from a recent property shoot I did for Reeds Rains estate agents in Hull.  A deceptively spacious bungalow in the village of Bilton - there was room inside and out!  An great news for the sellers, getting multiple offers within a week of going live!

City Centre luxury property photography - AirBnB

Over the past month or so I have been working with a new client, who has several luxury rental properties around the Hull area.  She wanted professional images to show off the apartments on various websites such as AirBNB, HomeAway and Booking.com.

Here are some of the images from one apartment, more to be seen on the official AirBnb site

If you need images for similar work, drop me a message through my website - contact me.

I have also done a 360 degree virtual tour for a different apartment from the same client here

"Paper" First wedding anniversary - Boudoir photoshoot with Sarah

Sarah wanted something special for a first wedding anniversary gift (it's paper!) so got in touch enquiring about my boudoir photoshoot packages.
She settled on the photoshoot and two print option, but after the shoot, viewing her images, she loved them so much she needed to get more!  I am very pleased she is proud enough to allow me to show these images of her looking fab-u-lous!

New album sample arrived!

I was offered the chance to test out an album by Saal Digital and after a lovely wedding in January I thought it would be an ideal way to showcase it, so quickly got to work designing it!  Within a week it had arrived, just in time for a wedding fayre :)

The Professional Line books are the upper end of their photobooks, with the Professional Line XT being their top of the range, with "eXtra Thick pages).  I was hoping to try the XT but unfortunately they only offered the other, thinner-page version.

The acrylic photo front is lovely, and I chose the unusual wood-look spine and back in slate (dark grey) as a change from the linen or leather covers that I already have.  Once opened, the difference between this and my other more expensive albums became more apparent.  The high end matt pages look fairly clear - maybe not as crisp as a semi-matt or gloss - but it is the thickness of the pages that worried me most.  My usual albums have solid pages, but these thinner pages, whilst not…

When should I book my wedding photographer?

At a wedding fayre recently I was asked when was the best time to book their photographer.  They figured they weren't in a hurry, because they weren't getting married until next year.

I replied "As soon as you find the right one! I've already taken bookings!"

With so many things to arrange for a wedding, it can be a very confusing and "spendy" time, and let's face it, most people don't have much experience at organising weddings, so it can be very daunting as to what to do first and when to spend the money!

We photographers can only be at one wedding at a time (gone are the days of "a few pics outside the church then on to the next one"!) whereas services like cakemakers, dresses, florists, even classic cars, can serve several weddings in one day, so can perhaps be left a bit closer to your wedding.  It doesn't hurt to ask these things, but bear it in mind when prioritising your spending.

I am usually booked one to two years in advance…

Zac & Nadine's Winter Wedding in Beverley

Zac and Nadine had a very low-key winter wedding, with fewer than ten guests, having a ceremony at Beverley register office then walking a few chilly minutes down the road to the Beverley Arms Hotel for their very informal reception, starting with some warming teas and coffees before an intimate setting in The Scullery room. Mum did the flowers and they brought their own naked cake! They were all lots of fun, not taking themselves too seriously, as seen in some of these photos 😃

Pre-wedding photoshoot with Meg and Max - Lazaat Hotel, Cottingham

This should be a fun day tomorrow at the wedding of Max & Meg!

Nerves were soon gone during their pre-wedding shoot. If you are a bit camera-shy it is a good thing to get that nervousness out of the way BEFORE your wedding day. People tell me afterwards how much better they feel 😊

And in all my standard packages it is included for FREE!

More details of wedding photography packages are on my website, but get in touch if you need something bespoke.
