People often say "oh I hate having my photo taken".  Usually this is after booking me to be their wedding photographer for the entire day!  😊 A pre-wedding photoshoot is perfect to get rid of those nerves. It's also good if you have small children who are a bit shy around new people.  On your wedding day, you have enough potentially stressful things to deal with: your photographer should not be one of them!  So we meet up a few weeks before the big day, have a chat over some of the details and ideas for what and where will do things, then get the camera out and gently ease you into your photoshoot. Last week I had a great shoot with Kirk, an ex-marine and personal trainer starting up his Commando Physique Bootcamp fitness programme in Hull.  He wanted some photographs done to promote his new business, and I had been recommended by a friend so got in touch. The Beverley Barn is a new venue to me, and what a great day we had!  Even their dog Penny was a guest, looked after by Bow Wow Vows (what a great idea!) and delicious food from Annika's Apron . Not the "usual" wedding ceremony, this was led by independent celebrant Phil Spicksley , and included a hand-fasting ceremony.  Lovely couple, lovely place, lovely weather!

I just returned from meeting with Charlene and Mark for their pre-wedding meeting.  It seems a while since we first met and they booked me to be their wedding photographer - about 14 months ago - on average that's kind of in the middle as plenty book further ahead than that! I was contacted by this lady, wanting to book a boudoir photography session , so we arranged the shoot along with my usual hair and makeup artist Victoria Farr coming to the studio in Hull .   Like most clients for this type of shoot, Suze was a little bit nervous to start off with, having never done anything like this before, but soon got into it and enjoyed the session immensely, as well as loving her photos, and was happy for me to share them.  It is a great confidence-booster!
