Collaboration model shoot with Jess

 I've worked with Jess on several occasions now or her business ventures but this photoshoot was more of a personal project, and something a little different for her as she is not often the model, but the product creator and designer. She brought a couple of outfits, with a fitness theme and we just had some fun trying a few different ideas. Towards the end of the shoot, I remembered that I had a can of Atmosphere aerosol which I had bought months ago and had been waiting for a chance to try it out and this seemed a perfect opportunity.  It is supposed to give a slight haze/fog to the scene. While I was very happy with the photos we got, the Atmosphere needs a bit more work as the effect was a bit lacklustre and barely visible!  I used backlighting, as recommended by the manufacturer, but I think I needed to spray more or use a different angle! the shot using Atmosphere aerosol

Group fitness photoshoot at Peak Physique

I've visited Peak Physique a few times now to do photoshoots.  Located on Cleveland Street in Hull not far from the city centre, they've been established since 1996, and are proud to be independent, with a genuine family feel.  This makes my life easier as we don't have lots of corporate red tape to get through to organise these things - I just talk about it with co-owner Louise! Co-owner Louise Bowering with her son Travis The shoot was organised and promoted as a joint effort between Peak Physique and myself , with it aimed at their gym members, but generously offered it to non-members as well, so we got a variety of people signing up.   The group photoshoots are a great cost-effective way for people to get a set of photos to document their progress without the same outlay for a full-blown solo photoshoot.  I would set up my lighting at one piece of equipment, then each person would take it in turns to have their photo taken at that bit of kit.  Once we h...
