Property for sale - home photography in Howden
I was asked by a friend to photograph her house as she was putting it on the market. She knows I am a property photographer - I've been photographing houses for estate agents and property owners in East Yorkshire for about six years now around - and she wanted her house to be shown in the best way possible.
She has had the house about two years and had completely refurbished it - new plastering, new flooring, all redecorated - so I knew it would be beautiful, and jumped at the chance. We also did a virtual tour, as the worry of COVID could put people off a physical viewing.
An hour after going live on the agent's website, she had two viewing booked. Within a few days she had offers of the asking price!

Annette was setting up a website for her nutritional therapy and yoga business and needed some photographs for it - "I don't have any nice ones of myself!" I went along to her home (a little village I had never heard of before, somewhere between Driffield and Pocklington) and took some relaxed portraits of her at her "desk" in her lovely kitchen/diner, and out in the garden, before some yoga poses in the lounge. The results can be found at her new website - annettejames-yoga.co.uk but these are a few of my personal favourites. At a wedding fayre recently I was asked when was the best time to book their photographer. They figured they weren't in a hurry, because they weren't getting married until next year. I replied "As soon as you find the right one! I've already taken bookings!" With so many things to arrange for a wedding, it can be a very confusing and "spendy" time, and let's face it, most people don't have much experience at organising weddings, so it can be very daunting as to what to do first and when to spend the money! We photographers can only be at one wedding at a time (gone are the days of "a few pics outside the church then on to the next one"!) whereas services like cakemakers, dresses, florists, even classic cars, can serve several weddings in one day, so can perhaps be left a bit closer to your wedding. It doesn't hurt to ask these things, but bear it in mind when prioritising your spending. I am usually booked one to two years in a
Sarah wanted something special for a first wedding anniversary gift (it's paper!) so got in touch enquiring about my boudoir photoshoot packages. She settled on the photoshoot and two print option, but after the shoot, viewing her images, she loved them so much she needed to get more! I am very pleased she is proud enough to allow me to show these images of her looking fab-u-lous! For details on prices and availability, take a look at the website
