East Yorkshire Property Photography

I had to share these images from a recent property shoot I did for Reeds Rains estate agents in Hull.  A deceptively spacious bungalow in the village of Bilton - there was room inside and out!  An great news for the sellers, getting multiple offers within a week of going live!

When should I book my wedding photographer?

At a wedding fayre recently I was asked when was the best time to book their photographer.  They figured they weren't in a hurry, because they weren't getting married until next year.

I replied "As soon as you find the right one! I've already taken bookings!"

With so many things to arrange for a wedding, it can be a very confusing and "spendy" time, and let's face it, most people don't have much experience at organising weddings, so it can be very daunting as to what to do first and when to spend the money!

We photographers can only be at one wedding at a time (gone are the days of "a few pics outside the church then on to the next one"!) whereas services like cakemakers, dresses, florists, even classic cars, can serve several weddings in one day, so can perhaps be left a bit closer to your wedding.  It doesn't hurt to ask these things, but bear it in mind when prioritising your spending.

I am usually booked one to two years in advance…

City Centre luxury property photography - AirBnB

Over the past month or so I have been working with a new client, who has several luxury rental properties around the Hull area.  She wanted professional images to show off the apartments on various websites such as AirBNB, HomeAway and Booking.com.

Here are some of the images from one apartment, more to be seen on the official AirBnb site

If you need images for similar work, drop me a message through my website - contact me.

I have also done a 360 degree virtual tour for a different apartment from the same client here

Andrew and Helen's wedding at Tickton Grange

If a wedding is to have a theme, summed up in one word, this one was definitely all about the "dance"!

Andrew and Helen were lovely to work with, and enjoyed their special day immensely, not even letting an early-morning downpour of rain put them off.

They had been brought together by dance classes in Howden with Feathersteps School of Dance, learning latin and ballroom.  They went as individuals and soon became a couple.  My good friend Sophie Brooke recommended me as their wedding photographer, so they give me a call and that was that!

Between us, we even recommended the Tickton Grange hotel near Beverley when they asked for ideas on venue, needing a large capacity.  With the Rose Room as a ceremony and reception room, they also have a pleasant bar and patio area leading to the beautiful gardens.

Helen and Andrew both finished their preparations in the hotel, before the ceremony.  Colour scheme for the flowers and dresses was classic baby blue and pink, tastefully followed …
